Location Description:
The Mammoth Lodge in Granisle, British Columbia, was once envisioned as a destination dining and accommodation establishment. Located at 62 Hagan Street, the lodge has been closed since the mid-2010s and has since fallen into significant disrepair.
In the winter of 2017, a heavy snow load caused a partial roof collapse. Although a tarp was placed over the hole in 2018, it has deteriorated over time, allowing moisture to infiltrate the building. This has led to extensive water damage, mold, mildew, and rodent infestations, particularly in the public areas such as the restaurant/lounge and hotel reception. While some parts of the building remain in relatively good condition, many exterior wood-framed decks are in poor shape and require replacement.
The Village of Granisle has been actively seeking solutions to address the property’s deterioration. Options considered include issuing a remedial action requirement to the owner, undertaking repairs or demolition if the owner fails to act, or potentially acquiring the property to resell to someone willing to rehabilitate it.
Access to the lodge changes every year, usually entry can be had through the back door that leads into the basement.
The Mammoth Lodge is one of two significant derelict properties in Granisle, the other being the former mini-mall at 82 Hagan Street. Both properties have posed challenges for the village in terms of maintenance and redevelopment.

Backpack

At 300$, this backpack is certainly not one of the cheapest backpacks, but we can say with a clear conscience that it is money well spent. It is well produced, has some well thought-out functions and still looks nice. Despite the high price, this backpack also has 4.5 stars out of 300 Amazon reviews.
4-Gas Monitor

A 4-gas monitor detects and measures not only carbon monoxide but also the levels of oxygen, combustible gases and hydrogen sulphide and ensures safety in hazardous environments by indicating dangerous gas concentrations. Highly recommended especially in bunkers and places where there is not much fresh air
