About Urbexplorer

The perfect urbex map?

Welcome to Urbexplorer, home of the most comprehensive Lost Place Map for urban explorers, photographers, and history buffs. We’re not here to sell you anything—instead, we’re a community‑driven platform dedicated to cataloging lost places, abandoned sites, and hidden gems around the globe.

There's no perfect urbex map, right?

Why We’re Different

Unlike commercial urban exploration guides or maps, our platform is driven by explorers, for explorers. No paywalls, no sponsorship bias—just genuine insights.

Every submitted location is manually reviewed by our dedicated moderators to ensure authenticity—so only real lost places make it onto our map.

You can edit pins, upload photos, and flag access changes in real time—ensuring the map stays accurate and safe.

Our Mission

Every pin on our map represents a real hidden urbex location vetted by fellow explorers. From derelict hospitals to forgotten factories, our goal is to create a living resource that’s accurate, up‑to‑date, and easy to navigate.

We believe the best discoveries come from you. Submit your favorite locations, share tips on safe access, and rate spots based on experience and photo potential.

Each abandoned building tells a story—of industry, of innovation, of people. By mapping and documenting these sites, we contribute to a collective memory before they disappear forever.

Lee

Founder and developer

When I founded urbexplorer a few years ago, I had only one goal: to finally create the perfect urbex map. After months of development and design, I finally published urbexplorer. At that time, I was still working alone, but our team has grown over the past few months. I am so grateful and proud of our team, as it gives me the feeling that we are slowly but surely achieving my goal of creating the perfect urbex map. Now it’s up to the community to expand and improve this map.
