Location Description:
Doel, a village in the north of Belgium, right at the border with the Netherlands, stands as a testament to a unique history. Once a vibrant community, it was largely abandoned in the 2000s due to the expansion of the Antwerp port and the proximity of a nuclear power plant.
Despite its deserted appearance, Doel offers a fascinating glimpse into a forgotten past. Many of its houses are completely abandoned, with belongings left behind, and the buildings are now covered in vibrant graffiti, both inside and out. Some areas are even overgrown with vegetation, adding to the eerie charm.
While most residents have left, a few individuals still call Doel home. The village features a mix of residential buildings, a school, a gas station, and garden houses, all now derelict. Interestingly, a small café and a working church remain next to the village, adding to its unique character. The entry to Doel is free of charge and legal, though you can’t drive in with a car.

Backpack

At 300$, this backpack is certainly not one of the cheapest backpacks, but we can say with a clear conscience that it is money well spent. It is well produced, has some well thought-out functions and still looks nice. Despite the high price, this backpack also has 4.5 stars out of 300 Amazon reviews.
4-Gas Monitor

A 4-gas monitor detects and measures not only carbon monoxide but also the levels of oxygen, combustible gases and hydrogen sulphide and ensures safety in hazardous environments by indicating dangerous gas concentrations. Highly recommended especially in bunkers and places where there is not much fresh air
