First of all, I would like to thank every new member! We have gained quite a few new users in the last few months. Therefore we would like to welcome everyone here again!
As you may have already noticed, UrbeXplorer has received a new update, find out what’s new in this article.
The most important new feature this time is probably the new sorting options that allow you to easily browse different categories or continents, so you might find it a little easier to plan your trip.
The categories or continents are now always displayed next to the locations, and if you click on them you will also be taken to the sorted list.
The sorted list or the search page has also been given a new design, whereas the page in version V.24.04 still looked like this:

Due to the many new submissions (thanks again to everyone!) we have realized that our categories are far from perfect. In order not to assign the “Other” category to all locations, we now have 2 new categories, “Transportation” and “Entertainment”. The “Schools” category was unnamed and is now called “Education”. We have also changed a few colors to make them more distinguishable.
We know that this is still not perfect, but we think that we have found a good compromise for easier searching and a simple submission of locations. But please feel free to give us feedback here in the comments.
Anyone who has sent in places until recently should not have been put off by an ugly entry form. We admit, this was really not very pleasant for anyone with a graphic eye. With V.24.06. this has now also been made much nicer and should look good on any device.

In the time from update V.24.04 until now we have also improved our Instagram and Tiktok page, so that when you come from the pages you can click directly on the post and be redirected to the right page. (urbexplorer.net/instagram)
We have also made numerous other small changes that most people probably won’t even notice. We have changed the email layout a bit, added Easter eggs, and fixed a bug on the start page.
There are currently many things on our list that we would like to do. We don’t want to spoil too much. Our top priority is, of course, to make the current pages a bit nicer and simpler. For example, we are not yet 100% satisfied with our forum. We also want to create an online store for UrbeXplorer so that you can support us by buying a product. However, we will probably have to postpone this for a while, as the creation of the store is very complicated. If you would still like to support us, you can do so at any time by making a donation. This would help us a lot, as we are currently paying the costs for the server, domain and development completely ourselves.
Another thing we would like to do is to translate the website into different languages. So if you speak several languages, please contact us or write a comment.
If you would like to help us, there are several ways to do so, the easiest of course being a donation, so we can continue to cover server costs. Of course, we also understand that this is not possible for everyone. So if you still want to help us, there are several possibilities. At the moment we are looking for translators to help us translate the site into all the languages, just write us a comment. We are also looking for someone to manage our Tiktok account and create videos. If this is not for you, you can also help us by uploading cool pictures here and giving us permission to post them on Instagram (of course we will tag you).
